Update on my needle knitting project

Well I have been working hard on this project and here is what I have after this weekend. I had planned on being gone, but was stood up and still have not heard anything. Oh well, I just hope he is ok!! I think I am about a third of the way through this baby blanket and I am loving working on it. I am really hoping to have it done before the 19th of this month. My hands are tired and so am I so I suppose I will stop for the night. I do not have access to a digital cam so did this on my scanner. I folded the corners under to make it all fit. I will take a pic of it with my web cam when done, but it won't be as clear as this is.

I have learned to needle knit!!!

Here is my latest project, ON NEEDLES!! I finally did it thanks to a link shared by a friend in one of the knitting groups that I belong to online. The link is www.KnittingHelp.com and Amy is fantastic at explaining and showing just how to knit. I am using the Continental or German style of knitting. You see, I am a lefty. I hold the yarn in my left hand and work the project from the left needle to the right. The stitch that I am using here is called Basket Weave II. It is very easy to do. I have never followed a pattern before and have found this to be very simple. Any and all comments are welcome and I will post as I progress.

I will not be around this weekend as I am taking a much needed mini-vacation. So, on Monday, I will be back to knitting. I still have two projects on the looms that I am still working on, but those will be done in no time flat and am also still working on Nicol's afghan, but it has been too warm for that at the moment.

I am off to go work those needles.

Baby Hat

Here is a scan of the hat that I have made for my friend Stephanie.
This is going to be given along with the bunting\wrap that I posted last night.
I tried to take a shot of it with my web cam as I do not have access to a
Digital camera anymore. It came out really crappy, so I scanned it. :)
This was made on the round KK with one strand of worsted weight and
then I combined that with the stand of fun fur and viola! An adorable
little baby hat. I am going to make another one with LB HS, but will make that
on the blue KK as it will have a bit more stretch to it and will be too big if I use
the red KK. I will post each project as I complete them over the next few days.
The little hat here only took me a total of an hour to complete.
